County Councillor Mark Cherry and Principal of North Oxfordshire Academy, Sara Billins on the campaign to reduce speed limits outside of NOA following road concerns raised by residents.

Cllr Mark Cherry is trying to reduce the speed limit outside North Oxfordshire Academy, after concerns were raised by Trinity Close residents in regards to alleged speeding vehicles on the A422 Stratford Road.

The councillor has started the due process of applying to firstly the Banbury Town Council clerk and Oxfordshire County Council Highways to consider a reduced speed limit from 30mph to 20mph.

To support such a speed reduction process the Cllr has been in liaison with Thames Valley Police to conduct a speed survey on traffic flow on the A422 Stratford Road which runs alongside the school.

He also has the full support of the principle of the school Sara Billins.

The road recently had a new puffin crossing installed as part of section 278 works.
