Councillor for Banbury Grimsbury and Hightown
Perran serves on Cherwell District Council representing Banbury Grimsbury and Hightown.
As a Labour and Co-operative candidate, Perran was elected in May 2019.
Originally from Cornwall where his dad was a doctor and mum was a nurse, he’s lived in the Banbury constituency for over 20 years. His two sons were born at the Horton Hospital and his daughter had a life-threatening condition diagnosed there, so the Horton is very important to Perran.
In 2013 he was a founder member of a countywide campaign to prevent cuts to school bus services. Prior to May 2019, Perran stood for Labour several times in the North Oxfordshire villages. He is the founder and director of an online training business, plays cricket for Horley CC, is a qualified rugby union referee and coach, and a keen Chelsea FC supporter.
